A Nigerian woman has been sent to prison after burning a
man's private parts with a hot iron and stabbing him with a bottle while they
were having sex.
In what police called a "pre-planned" attack,
Kenya Alozie assaulted the man, leaving him with deep cuts and burns that
needed surgery. She's now going to serve nine years in prison.
Alozie, 31, had travelled to the UK to study at Coventry
University but her visa was due to run out at the time of the attack.
She tried to flee the country following the brutal incident
but police caught her at Heathrow Airport and charged her with GBH with intent.
Detective Constable Duncan Clark from Greenwich police,
said: "She ensured she had a broken bottle to hand and a hot iron to
strike the victim and seriously harm him.
"The sentence imposed clearly reflects the seriousness
of this extremely violent attack."
