unlawfully used his music for publicity without his permission. Ross raps over 'In Da Club' on a free mixtape titled 'Renzel Remixes,' which is being used to advertise his upcoming album.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed on Wednesday,
December 23 in a federal court in Connecticut, 50 is demanding $2million in
damages.
In addition to the $2 million in damages, 50 Cent’s lawyers
are also looking for a court order to prevent Ross from using any of the
rapper’s trademarks or work.
This is the latest development, not to mention lawsuit, in
the long-standing feud between 50 Cent and Ross. As we earlier reported this
past July, 50 Cent was ordered to pay more than $7 million to Lastonia
Leviston, the mother of Ross’s child, for leaking a sex tape of her online. The
ruling resulted in 50 Cent filing for bankruptcy three days later. 50 Cent
posted the explicit footage of Ross’s now ex-girlfriend as a way of provoking
the rapper, despite him not actually being featured in the video.
Looks like the broke star wants some money… and fast!
