In Separate Attack, Suicide Bombers Hit Maiduguri, Many Feared Dead

A few hours after a bomb went off at a mosque and killed a yet unknown number of people, another attack has been launched on Maiduguri, the insurgency-ravaged capital of Borno State, witnesses and
security sources have told PREMIUM TIMES.
They said the latest explosions were detonated by suspected teenage girls.
Many people are feared dead, and several others injured, witnesses said.
Maiduguri has become a theatre of explosions in the past few days as Boko Haram insurgents ferried several explosives into the city.
Yunusa Abdullahi, a civil servant who live in Jiddari Polo area of the city, said aside the mosque attack, two girls detonated explosives at a neighbourhood called Buraburin.

“A man saw two girls walking around and he tried to caution them to be careful as it was dangerous for them to be wandering when the two girls detonated themselves, killing the man and some other persons,” Mr. Abdullahi said.
“Since last night, residents have been finding undetonated bombs believed to have been abandoned by Boko Haram gunmen.
