The First Performer for the 2016 Brit Awards is ADELE

Adele Confirmed as First Performer for the 2016 Brit Awards.

Adele will say ‘Hello’ again to the Brit Awards in 2016 as she returns to the ceremony with a live performance. The global phenomenon, whose new album ‘25’ has sold more than five million copies in the calendar year, last graced the event in 2011.
The Brit school graduate is the first performer to be confirmed for next year’s ceremony – taking place on 24 February. Adele has won three Brit awards in her career so far, including one for Best British Album in 2012.
In a statement, Brit chairman Max Lousada said: “You couldn’t get a bigger name in music right now. Adele is having an exceptional moment and The Brits are delighted to be a part of her history, her present and future.”
Adele was responsible for one of the awards’ most memorable live performances, when she delivered a stunning rendition of ‘Someone Like You’ in 2011.
