Jay Z Has Big Plans For Harry Styles

As One Direction begins their scheduled hiatus, pop kingmakers are eyeing the lads as solo properties. This weekend, Jay Z told the Sunday Daily Star he could make Harry Styles the biggest
deal in pop music—just give him 12 months.

“Harry doesn’t need any help with exposure; everybody in the world knows who he is,” he told the paper. “But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist. I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers—and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year.”

Sounds like a sweet deal—but what’s in it for Jay? If Styles signed to his label, Roc Nation, he’d become the latest of artists like Rihanna, Meek Mill and Kanye West whose successes fall under Jay Z’s growing, opulent umbrella.
