Heart Attack Kills Man At An Event Where He Had To Eat 12 DOUGHNUTS And Run Five Miles

Jeff Fafa has died of a heart attack during a Krispy Kreme Challenge where participants were required to eat 12 doughnuts and run five miles.
Jeff ‘Fafa’ Woods complained of chest pains at the beginning of the event in which competitors run 2.5 miles, eat a dozen doughnuts then race back to the start.
Doughnut company Krispy Kreme tweeted the tragic news, saying: “Unforunately we have some sad news to share.

“We regretfully confirm that a participant of today’s Krispy Kreme Challenge has died.”
Outrage poured in at the tweet, with one saying the challenge is a "fatal bad idea” and the family "should sue".
Another said: “Really sad news, thoughts and prayers to his family”.
However, user Annette Elizabeth defended the race and said it was “not to do with the donuts”.
She added: "He didn’t have them yet and Donut Dashes have existed for years.
“Most runners take donuts home. Not eat them at once”.
This was the 12th Krispy Kreme Challenge to take place at North Carolina State University and raises money for the North Carolina Children’s Hospital.

Friends of Mr Wood described him as kind and fun and claimed he did not run regularly but were not surprised he signed up for the challenge because it was for a good cause.
