Nigerian Colour Struts By MYOA At Grammy Awards

Nigerian-born singer and songwriter, Oluwamayowa Morenike Sobamowo, popularly known as MYOA, who is notable in the United States of America (USA), particularly among the huge Nigerian community for the uniqueness of her voice texture and musical finesse, was spotted on the red carpet at the 58th Grammy awards at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, in a gorgeous dress celebrating the country’s colour, Green.

The recording artiste recently released a video of her single ‘Can a Stranger’, which was produced by Cobhams Asuquo, The song will be officially released for purchase and download on March 11, 2016 on most online platforms, including ITunes.
Currently receiving a good amount of airplay on several television channels, which includes Soundcity, Nigezie Hip TV and AIT, Myoa asks some thought-provoking questions in her song “Can A Stranger.”
“Could I find my way without the stop signs and red lights? Can I just get by without my phone? Can I find a friend without Facebook or my laptop? Can a stranger lead me home?” she asks on the chorus.
Initially, Myoa pursued a career in finance and settled into a lifestyle filled with stability and structure, but lacked what she loved most; her music. Resigning from her job in England, she packed her bags and moved to the Los Angeles and enrolled at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, leading to a highly- coveted internship at the world’s largest music company, Universal Music Group.
